Rowdy Rathore - Sonakshi's birthday gift

The release date of the Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha starrer Rowdy Rathore brought forward from June 15 to June 1, now the film releases a day before Sonakshi's birthday.

This is not a coincidence, UTV motion picture mention that Sonakshi's birthday was on their minds, at the time makers were rescheduling the dates. Business-wise also the weekend is a coveted one as it comes right after the end of IPL session 5.

"Our movie comes just a day before her birthday and we hope it will do well and make it a great day for Sonakshi" says Shikha Kapur, senior VP (marketing) of UTV Motion Pictures.

"It makes me feel special considering the film comes a day before my birthday. It's also the first big movie after the IPL. I am looking at it as an advance birthday present," chuckles Sonakshi

Rowdy Rathore is a remake of the hit South Indian film Vikramarkudu, it is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and UTV Motion Pictures.

Karan Johar's 40th Birthday with Sonakshi Sinha and Shah Rukh Khan

Karan Johar celebrate his 40th birthday with many bollywood stars including Sonakshi Sinha and Shah Rukh Khan. Times of India mentioned, the celebration was planned by Karan's friend, Manish Malhotra. The venue was at Hotel Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai, this Friday night, 25th May. The theme of the party was black and red in terms of attire. Among those who also showed up were actor Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri, Imran Khan, Bipasha Basu, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. 

Sonakshi Sinha looked majestic in a black Shantanu & Nikhil gown. When Sonakshi Sinha arrived, she reportedly hugged her friend Bipasha Basu on the red carpet, with Anushka Sharma following them inside. The 24-year-old, Sonakshi's floor length draped gown had lace detail on the waist, with sheer side patches drawing attention to hersvelte figure. She accessorized with black Louis Vuitton pumps with gold LV logo detail at the back, a dull gold BV knot clutch, stud earrings and a solitaire diamond ring as mentioned by her stylist Bhavika Nihalani in an exclusive interview to sawfnews.

Sonakshi say no to bikini - on cover of FHM magazine

Sonakshi Sinha has graced the cover of the FHM magazine, the famous mens magazine. The cover of the fourth anniversary issue of the FHM magazine (November 2011) features Sonakshi Sinha sporting a pink top and flaunting her shapely and shiny legs. Although she has not posed without any clothes for it, she looks very hot in her red decent dress. She has also donned two black tops for centerfold photo shoot of the magazine.

Sonakshi say no to bikini shoot, she said:
"It’s a complete no-no to bikini because I am not that kind of a person. I have been bought up in a certain way. I have certain restrictions that I follow and I don’t see any reason to change it because if the audience has accepted me fully clothed, then why would I resort to it? I am a normal Indian girl who wears jeans and T shirts normally. Born and brought up in Mumbai, so I am used to wearing clothes like that."

So, not only in FHM, she’s also going to be seen in traditional Indian outfits in almost five other movies like Joker, Once Upon a Time Again, Dabangg 2, Son Of Sardar and Lootera. Sonakshi is teaming up with actors Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in those movies.

Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) calendar 2012

 

Actor Salman Khan with leading Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and Kangana Ranaut announce the details of the second season of CCL for next year, Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2012. The League has been designed on lines of IPL where six teams representing the six different regional film industries in India will play 18 matches in six different venue. The matches will be held in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata and Sharjah, and will be played over four weekends starting January 2012.

The six teams will include the Mumbai Heroes owned by Sohail Khan and captained by Suniel Shetty, Chennai Rhinos lead by South superstar Surya, Karnataka Bulldozers by Kiccha Sudeep and skipper Venkatesh leads Telugu Warriors. The 2012 CCL match will introduce two new teams - Kerala Strikers and Bengal Tigers. Kerala Strikers is co-owned by National Award winner Mohanlal, ace director Priyadarshan and his wife Lizzy. The Bengal Tigers is owned by Boney Kapoor and his wife Sridevi.

To generate a buzz for the second season CCL a calender with pictures of sexy sirens of Indian movies is planned. Hotties Sonakshi Sinha, Kangna Ranaut, Charmee, Richa Gangopadhyay, and Sameera Reddy are now busy posing sizzling pictures for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) calendar at Goan beaches and other tourist spots. Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, Genelia D'souza and Kangana Ranaut will be the brand ambassador of Mumbai Heroes team. Whereas, actress Shriya Saran and Richa Ganguly will be brand ambassador for Telegu Warriors team. “I’ll be there just for a day to pose for some pictures and the calendar is really going to sizzle with so many hot babes, I bet. After all, Venkatram, one of my favourite photographers is shooting it,” says Charmee.
